Our

Our story

One family, one goal. Making a difference in netball since 2014.

Who we are

Manaia Netball Club was started in 2014 by a group of family who wanted to make a difference in their netball community. Whanau, the Māori word for family, has been at the centre of the club ever since.

We bring cultures together in a place that’s safe, welcoming and proud, and we’re run by a small team of volunteers who love this club. From social netball to competition and representative level, we help our players grow as athletes, as leaders and as people. Strength, unity, leadership and culture, that’s what Manaia stands for.

Our journey

We started out in Rockingham, training and playing with Rockingham Districts Netball Association. In 2021 we went looking for new ways to grow and challenge ourselves as a club, and in 2022 we joined Fremantle Netball Association, where we play today.

Where we play

Games are every Saturday through the winter season at Fremantle Netball Association, Frank Gibson Park, High Street (Cnr Chudleigh St), Fremantle.

Where we train

Training is Monday and Wednesday evenings at Thomas Oval Netball Courts, Tucker Street, Medina, Kwinana.
